Yes, another weird deviaiton from me.
It's the summary of a school project from last year. What was the task there again? I forgot. All I remember is that I didn't really stick to the given topic.

Anyway, my intention here was to show how emotions and ideas are interpreted individually, and therefore translated into facial gestures in very different, unique ways. All I gave those models (or rather, actors) were 8 keywords to work with, only sometimes a brief explanation to avoid misunderstanding. They would try to express that keyword with their mimic, in a deliberately exaggerated way.
The result is pretty interesting, it's funny to see how different some interpretations are, and how characteristic parallels of the expressions became evident.

Another thing that struck me was that there seem to be people who just can't act! Maybe I shouldn't be so surprised, but I had a hard time getting some of the models to activate their facial muscles... But, thanks to that fact, we have a nice, interesting result here :)

Layout inspired by this old experiment, where facial expressions were provoked with electricity that stimulated certain muscles: [link]

What an amazing project. These would look awesome on a larger scale in a gallery setting.

I don't see this project done that often on this scale. However, I'm glad you did it and you did it well.

Each image is exposed perfectly. Everyone fills roughly the same amount of space in each frame. I think it would work better if you had the text on the side read left to right in a horizontal format, or up and down in a vertical format. Also, the "grimace" face looks a bit exaggerated in most of the models. Maybe you could take it out completely? Or, if you redo this project, get people you know and trust to fulfill your requests better.

In all, a wonderful and interesting project!
