The character above is my very own version of a Kodama, a little spirit living in trees & plants. They are best known for their appearance in "Princess Mononoke" by Hayao Miyazaki, and they are part of the traditional Japanese Shinto-Religion.

but a thing I find a bit strange is that there grows a flower out of his head (if i think of the kodama's in princess mononoke, there their heads are rather 'bald' in the way that there isn't growing something on (yeah pretty obvious i know but i mean things like flowers or leaves or... xD)) Yes, the ones in princess mononoke are bald, but mine isn't
