Artist's Comments

The character above is my very own version of a Kodama, a little spirit living in trees & plants. They are best known for their appearance in "Princess Mononoke" by Hayao Miyazaki, and they are part of the traditional Japanese Shinto-Religion.

This guy here is crying because of all the environmental damage caused by mankind.

it's wonderful:o the way the kodama looks transparent is .... i can't find words for it xD (though the cause for that can be that my vocabulary isn't so perfect xD)
but a thing I find a bit strange is that there grows a flower out of his head (if i think of the kodama's in princess mononoke, there their heads are rather 'bald' in the way that there isn't growing something on (yeah pretty obvious i know but i mean things like flowers or leaves or... xD))
:iconchuruchuru:
BUT:o he's cute O.O :3  ( so :+fav: xD)
:icondenkyo:
Yes, the ones in princess mononoke are bald, but mine isn't :D That's because no one has officially defined the look of a kodama. Hayao Miyazaki did a great job by creating his version, but I decided to go a different way. (Actually, traditional Japanese Kodamas are often portrayed as human-like...:fear:^^)

Thanks a lot for the question and the fav!!! :boogie:

I actually like it a lot <3 :).
You could easily add some more details like more "schweife" behind the flower or similar things.
